Episode #5 Of "What's Behind", Shows Us...

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is continuing to give us a behind the scenes look at the development of its products with the “What’s Behind” video series. The project documentary narrates the behind the scene look at the complex Research & Development (R&D) phases for FCA-branded vehicles. This is the first time that FCA has opened its doors to the world, showcasing its operation centers.

For its fifth episode, the What’s Behind series focuses on the development process that goes into designing the Company’s four-wheel-drive (4×4) systems. Each FCA brand features some kind of all-wheel-drive (AWD) or 4×4 system. Vehicles like the Dodge Charger, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Fiat Panda, Ram 1500, Chrysler 300, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and Maserati Levante all feature a four-wheel-driven system of some type.
But how do FCA engineers develop an array of four-wheel-driven systems for a dedicated vehicle? The video gives us a look at the Jeep brand, FIAT brand, and Alfa Romeo brand on a global outlook.
