Recently, Castline’s M2 Machines line has created an amazing series of diecast models revolving around the third generation of Dodge D-series pickups from the 1970s. In the past few months, they have rolled out an onslaught of new diecast models, ranging from W200 Power Wagons to Li’l Red Express to slammed HELLCAT-powered ones.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, M2 Machines is releasing a hobby-exclusive ‘Sweethearts’ candy-themed 1978 Dodge Li’l Red Express truck. The 1:64 scale truck features a Gloss Red exterior paint color, but it’s wrapped with ‘Sweethearts’ candy with sayings like “Love Bug,” “So Cute,” “So Mate,” among others.
The truck comes with a Black bucket seat interior that is visible through clear windows. Sitting at stock ride height, she rolls on 5-slot rims wrapped with Black tires. Under the hood lies a stock 5.9-liter (360 cubic-inch) EXPRESS V8 with a Blue block and Silver valve covers, along with a Black and Chrome air cleaner. Only 5,500 units will be produced.
For diehard collectors, a limited production chase variant will also be available. This model is easily recognizable by the Pink Chrome bumpers, trim, rims, and exhaust stacks. However, this variant will only be available in a run of 500 units.
You can find these awesome Li’l Red Express diecasts at select hobby shops that carry M2 Machines.
