TSR Nitro Unveils Fan-Voted Paint Schemes For “The Big Go”

Red, White, And Blue Designs Debut At NHRA U.S. Nationals

The wait is over. Earlier today, Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) pulled the wraps off the special Direct Connection paint schemes that will carry their Nitro cars down the quarter-mile at the 71st annual NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. And this year, fans can take pride in knowing they had a direct hand in shaping the look of these 11,000-horsepower machines.

Back in April, Dodge and TSR launched the Motorsports Livery Shootout, giving fans the chance to vote on three bold paint schemes that would be applied to Matt Hagan’s Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT Funny Car and Tony Stewart’s Direct Connection Top Fuel Dragster. After months of anticipation, the winning designs have been revealed: patriotic red, white, and blue liveries that bring American muscle to life on the sport’s biggest stage.

The NHRA U.S. Nationals, better known as The Big Go, isn’t just another race. It’s the crown jewel of the NHRA calendar, where legends are made and the competition is at its fiercest. With Dodge’s Direct Connection program backing TSR, these new liveries aren’t just about looks—they represent identity, fan passion, and the continued legacy of Mopar in drag racing.

Coming into Indianapolis, Stewart is sitting second in the Top Fuel championship standings, just 45 points behind leader Shawn Langdon. He locked in his spot for the Countdown to the Championship with a strong showing at the NHRA Sonoma Nationals. Hagan, meanwhile, enters The Big Go third in the Funny Car championship standings, 269 points back from leader Austin Prock. With both drivers in prime playoff position, the new fan-voted designs add another layer of energy heading into the season’s biggest race.

For fans, this was more than just a poll. It was a chance to play a part in motorsports history. The chosen schemes will now rocket down the track at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, showcasing more than just horsepower—they’ll showcase the voice of the community that voted for them. Both Stewart and Hagan’s cars now stand as rolling billboards for fan involvement, Mopar heritage, and the unmistakable style that Dodge has always brought to the drag strip.

When the lights drop and the cars thunder down the strip at over 330 mph, one thing will be certain: these fan-designed, red-white-and-blue machines will leave their mark on The Big Go.
