Digital Artist Creates His Idea On A Future Ram Midsize BEV Truck

Blends Elements From The Ram 1500 REV Into New Midsize Pickup Package...

The tentative agreements between the United Auto Workers (UAW) and Stellantis have shed light on the future products that will be produced in the United States. One of these new products is set to be a new midsize pickup truck at the company’s idled Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois, slated for a production launch in the 2027 model year.

While 2027 is quite far off, it hasn’t stopped the digital artist community from envisioning what they believe could be the next Ram midsize pickup truck. Despite Jeep® having the Gladiator in the market since 2020, demand for the Wrangler-based midsize pickup has declined. Many speculate this is due to its premium price point compared to other midsize pickups, as well as the increasing competitiveness of other offerings in the midsize segment. Nonetheless, the midsize pickup category is expanding, with manufacturers like Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Toyota, and Nissan vying for the top spot.

The new midsize pickup truck scheduled for production at Belvidere will offer both internal combustion engine (ICE) and battery-electric (BEV) powertrains. Following the recent unveiling of the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup, which includes the electrified Ram 1500 REV and Ramcharger, a digital artist has integrated styling elements from these new electrified Ram 1500s into a more compact Ram pickup design.

Dimas Ramadhan (Digimods DESIGN) recently shared a video portraying what he envisions as a future midsize Ram. While the design incorporates familiar styling reminiscent of the all-electric Ram 1500 REV, the cab of the truck brings to mind General Motors’ offerings. By current midsize standards, the new truck would be significantly larger than the beloved 1997 to 2004 offering, positioning it in dimensions similar to a 1990s full-size pickup.

Presented in a matte burgundy exterior color, the design appears sleek for an all-electric offering. It instills hope that Stellantis can create something remarkable to rival the likes of the Rivian R1T, a pickup that saw significant contributions from Stellantis’ former design team.

My question is will the Bed be seperate like Comache, or will it be connected like RidgeLine and GMS. For sure it should have a seam in the stamping at least.

Sure hope it’s not that big. I don’t need a full size even if it’s smaller than todays gargantua size.
