Ram Will Reveal The New 2025 Ram 1500 RHO On April 25th!
Ram's New Performance Off-Roader Looks To Be Getting Ready For Official Reveal...
Yesterday, Ram teased that it would reveal another new pickup on April 25th. Being towed by a 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel, this new mystery truck looks like the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. The RHO won’t replace the TRX, which ended production in the 2024 model year, but will act as an extension of it. Scheduled to begin production in Q3 2024 at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP), it makes sense that Ram would be gearing up for what could be its most anticipated reveal this year.
Introduced in 2021, the Ram 1500 TRX shook up the performance off-road pickup market thanks to a plethora of off-road specific goodies and the now-iconic supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V8 producing 702 horsepower.
Sitting on a unique frame design, the TRX wasn’t your typical fifth-generation Ram 1500. Instead, the off-roader featured a unique suspension to tackle high-speed desert running, thanks to front and rear 2.6-inch Bilstein BlackHawk e2 adaptive performance shocks and a long-travel suspension setup to deliver 13 inches of wheel travel at all four corners.
Although the Gen3 HEMI might be absent from the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup, that isn’t stopping Ram engineers from combining all of the TRX’s off-road technology with a new package powered by the new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE High-Output (H/O) I-6 engine.
The new RHO, which Ram hasn’t released what the acronym means yet, but we believe means ‘Rebel High Output,’ many people are excited about what could be a more affordable version of the Ram TRX.
While the RHO will not have 702 horsepower, it will have at least 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque on premium unleaded fuel.
Over the past year, we have seen several RHO models testing around the streets of Detroit. While most of the TRX’s styling will be carried over, it will be interesting to see what else Ram has in store for us.
