Jeep® Will Present It’s First Production BEV In Paris On October 17th!

New Avenger B-UV Scheduled To Make It's Official Debut...

The Jeep® brand will showcase a 100% electrified presence at the 2022 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de L’Automobile 2022), with a stand fully dedicated to the introduction of its all-new Jeep Avenger (JJ), the brand’s first-ever production battery-electric vehicle (BEV).

The stand will display an energetic, vibrant, and visually dynamic look featuring a rock-crawling display, to provide the right staging for the media and public reveal of the Jeep Avenger.  The all-electric Jeep Avenger will offer Jeep brand capability that is perfectly sized for the European market delivering a targeted electric range of 400 kilometers (249 miles), combined with a modern and technologically advanced interior, with plenty of space for people and cargo.

The Avenger will be revealed during a press conference hosted by Jeep CEO Christian Meunier, at 2:00 p.m. CET (8:00 a.m. EST) on October 17th. You will be able to watch the event LIVE on MoparInsiders.com. Customers will be able to make reservations for a new Avenger Launch Edition BEV immediately after the press conference.

“The new Jeep Avenger spearheads the introduction of a portfolio of all-new Jeep BEVs in Europe,” stated Meunier.  “It offers Jeep brand capability that is rightsized for the market and during its introduction at the Paris Motor Show, we’ll showcase why it is a great all-electric Jeep brand alternative to current players in the segment.  The Jeep Avenger is a milestone for our growth plans in key European markets, such as France, and on our path to becoming the leading zero-emission SUV brand in the world.”

The Avenger will join an already full-electrified European lineup which includes plug-in hybrid (PHEV) 4xe versions of the Renegade, Compass, Wrangler, and soon the Grand Cherokee. In countries such as Germany and France, the Jeep brand offers only electrified SUVs and by the end of the year, almost all of the major markets in Continental Europe will offer only electrified SUVs.

The brand will introduce four zero-emission vehicles in Europe by 2025, with offerings in the main volume segments, including the upcoming Jeep Recon and the Wagoneer “S”, two all-new and all-electric vehicles that will compete in the global midsize SUV segment.

As a result of this product onslaught, all the Jeep vehicles on sale in the region will be 100% electric by 2030.

The Jeep Avenger is one impressive SUV. Not only does it present cutting edge technology, it’s darn good looking to boot. I can see the Avenger making it to North America and South America too once production sites are established. I predict that the route will be manufacture in Brazil, export to Mexico, then to North American markets. Gets around import trade barriers, establishes electric build capacity in Brazil and gives the US market a fully electric entry level Jeep in a new segment. Let’s wait and see. In the mean time the Avenger will sell like hot cakes in its targeted market.

Doesn’t meet U.S. standards, plus Average Transaction price would be lower than Stellantis U.S. mark.

When people said Forign vehicles don’t meet US standards, what does that really mean? What are the big thing that make it so different for our US market? ie: Europe’s Jeep Comander, Mexico’s New Dodge Journey and Dodge Neon. What standards are different and why is it said it would cost to much to up date for the US? I have been trying to figure this out for years but have never found info on the difference between US standards and countries outside the US. Apparently only Canada shares the same standards with US vehicles. I am surprised Mexico doesn’t since they produce many US vehicles.

I didn't expect such a rustic interior for a Europe-centric Jeep.
