The First eXoMod C68 CARBON Is On The Market, Once Again
797 Horsepower, Retro Carbon-Fiber-Body, & Modern Technology...
eXoMod has gained a reputation as a prominent creator of extraordinary American muscle resto-mod builds. Recently, they’ve embarked on an exciting project – crafting a limited series of vehicles that reimagine the present-day Dodge Challenger. This innovative series involves adorning the Challenger with a complete carbon-fiber body inspired by the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, resulting in the striking C68 CARBON.
While not a direct replica of the iconic second-generation Charger B-Body, the C68 CARBON pays homage to its aesthetic. Despite a slight 1-inch variance in wheelbase between the original Charger and the current Challenger, the underlying structural differences are substantial.
To achieve a harmonious fusion between the two designs, eXoMod has invested considerable effort in creating a body that gracefully encompasses the Challenger’s dimensions while accommodating its additional 4-inch width. The outcome is a vehicle that retains iconic visual elements while introducing fresh, distinct features.
Dressed in a captivating Electric Blue Pearl coat adorned with White R/T stripes, the inaugural C68 CARBON by eXoMod is marked as No. 01 and is based on the 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye platform. Underneath the hood, this embodiment boasts a robust 797 horsepower, supercharged engine – a true powerhouse.
This particular car went across the auction block at the Mecum Las Vegas auction in 2022, achieving an impressive sale price of $324,500. The carbon-fiber marvel is currently back on the market, listed at $358,900 by Earth MotorCars in Carrollton, Texas, near Fort Worth. The odometer registers a mere 397 miles, highlighting its role as a showcase piece rather than a daily driver.
In essence, this captivating Mopar, characterized by its lightweight carbon-fiber body, masterfully marries the timeless charm of the classic Charger B-body design with the cutting-edge technologies and potent performance of the contemporary Challenger. One can only hope that an enthusiast with a penchant for fine automotive craftsmanship will seize the opportunity to own this exquisite masterpiece, allowing it to grace both picturesque backroads and open stretches of asphalt in the manner it was truly meant for.
