FIAT Continues To Lead The Market In Brazil, After Another Successful Month!

14 Consecutive Months As The Sales Leader...

After taking back the sales lead in the Brazilian automotive market in 2021, FIAT continues to retain its dominant performance with new competition on the horizon in 2022. 

In February, FIAT sold 26,414 units, conquering 21.9% of market share. The Italian brand has maintained the sales lead for 14 consecutive months in the market. Despite the challenging scenario of the industry due to the semiconductor crisis, the brand’s commercial strategy has been very successful. In just two months, it totaled 49,700 sales, a difference of almost 20,000 units over the second place.

As time passes, the subcompact Strada pickup continues to be a sales phenomenon. After ending 2021 as the best-selling vehicle in Brazil (the first time for a pickup), the vehicle ended February in first place once again with 7,314 units (6.1% of total market share and the incredible mark of 96.7% in its segment). That’s an all-time record for the category.

Among the 10 best-selling vehicles in Brazil in February, FIAT also held 7th place with the Argo (4,321 units licensed and 3.6% market share) and 10th place with the Mobi (4,162 units and 3.4% market share). 

When it comes to terms of market segment, FIAT showed its strength by closing out February as the leader of hatchbacks (26.4%), pickups (55.6%), and vans (44.4%). The brand also celebrated leading both retail and direct sales for the first two months.

Herlander Zola, FIAT’s Senior Vice President for South America (Brand and Commercial), spoke about the brand’s all-new Pulse crossover saying it has been performing well despite dealing with a parts supply issue. The production availability of the Fiat Pulse still greatly affects the model’s registration, but its performance remains very favorable. We reached the 5th position in the segment with almost 9% share”.
