For our friends in Europe, the Jeep Europe brand is holding a special event this weekend for selected customers from its major European markets (Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom). The event called “Trackhawk Days” will give those in attendance to experience some time behind the wheel of the 707 horsepower Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
The event takes place at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Balocco Proving Grounds in Balocco, Italy. There, participants will be able to drive on a series of specialty roads including the “Alfa Romeo Track” which features a Formula 1 (F1) style road course. Jeep will also have a quarter-mile acceleration testing area setup, for participants to experience the pure acceleration power of the Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
But the Trackhawk isn’t the only vehicle available for testing. As part of the authentic Jeep experience, the invited parties will also be able to try there hand at otherJeep 4×4 vehicles, like the Renegade Trailhawk, Compass Trailhawk, Cherokee Trailhawk, Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, and the legendary Jeep Wrangler in both Sahara and Rubicon trims on the Balocco Proving Grounds’ off-road course.
The off-road course features a variety of specially-designed obstacles and tricks, allowing visitors to put the Wrangler, and other models in the Jeep range, through their paces and also to test their own all-terrain skills alongside experienced Jeep Academy drivers.
The event continues to spread the word of the Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trackhawk in the European marketplace and shows Jeep’s capability on the street as it does off-road. Powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8 delivering 707 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 645 lb.-ft of torque (868 Nm of torque) at 4,800 rpm combined with the upgraded high-torque capacity TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, the Trackhawk is the most powerful production SUV in the world.
All we can say is, we are jealous of the lucky participants. The event will start Friday, June 21st and end on Saturday, June 22nd.
