SOLD OUT: Jeep® Sells Out Of Its Gladiator Rubicon Allotment In Just 3 Hours!

Despite A Huge Cost, The Midsized Jeep Proves Its Worth...

Yesterday, we talked about the Jeep® brand’s launch of the Gladiator (JT) Rubicon in the Brazilian market. But that wasn’t the biggest news of the day. Jeep ended up selling out of its initial batch of Brazilian market Gladiator Rubicons in only 3 hours.

Only 322 units were planned to be shipped to Brazil until the end of the year, based on Jeep’s forecast. With a starting Manufacturer’s Suggest Retail Price (MSRP) of R$ 499,990 (or about $95,915 USD), we could understand why.

Brazil is currently the American adventure brand’s second largest market globally, even outdoing Canada. With three models built in Brazil (Renegade, Compass, and Commander), the brand has grown to be a dominant force in the marketplace.

Brazil has shown that it loves pickup trucks as much as the United States, with the Fiat Toro, Fiat Strada, Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, and soon-to-be Ram 1500 Classic. So the Gladiator proves that Stellantis continues to build pickups the Brazilians love.

Jeep says its model sales expectation remains high, given the success of the first hours of its commercialization and also the beginning of the model’s advertising campaign. Thus, the brand is studying increasing the availability of the Gladiator for the Brazilian market, according to demand.

The American-built Jeep® Gladiator (JT) has officially made its debut in the Brazilian marketplace.

Engineered from the ground up to be the most off-road capable Jeep pickup ever, it seems fitting that the only initial trim available at launch is the off-road-oriented Rubicon model. Since 1997, the Rubicon trim on the Wrangler and now Gladiator has represented the maximum expression of Jeep’s “Trail Rated®” capability.
