CAUGHT: Jeep® Is Testing The Three-Row Grand Cherokee L In Brazil:

Looks Like The Three-Row Grand Cherokee Might Be Headed To South America...

The 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee L (WL) is expanding the most award-winning SUV nameplate by offer a three-row option for the first time. The three-row variant is part of a trio of offerings that the Jeep brand plan on showcasing under the Grand Cherokee nameplate, with two-row and electrified variants coming later this fall. But, many have questioned if Jeep plans on selling its American-built Grand Cherokee L globally, as it has with its two-row versions in the past.

Thanks to our good friends at Auto Segredos, they have caught Jeep engineers testing the Grand Cherokee L near Minas Gerais, Brazil. As the Jeep brand’s second-biggest market on the global stage, it makes sense that Jeep would be testing the waters to see if its new Grand Cherokee is up for the task in Brazil.

Currently, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (WK2) is available in Brazil, however, it has never been a strong seller in the Brazilian marketplace. So it makes perfect sense why this test vehicle appears to be a Limited trim.

The Limited slots above the entry-level Laredo trim level and just below the Overland in both the United States and Canada. Grand Cherokee L Limited raises the bar over the Laredo with Capri leather trim, single-color ambient lighting, memory driver seat/mirrors/telescoping steering wheel, LED foglamps, and offers an optional CommandView dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

The Limited also can come with the Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system, paired with the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System and Hill Descent Control giving the Limited authentic Jeep 4×4 capability.

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited comes standard with the following features…

Now, while Jeep refuses to talk about future product placement, we did see that Ram was testing several 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel pickups throughout Brazil last year, before officially unveiling that Ram was indeed bringing the Rebel to Brazil for the first time this year. So this leads us to think, this is a strong indication that the Grand Cherokee L will be launched in Brazil by the end of the year.
