The Fiat Mobi City Car Adds More Technology For 2023 Model Year!

FIAT Continues To Build On The Mobi's Success...

The Fiat Mobi is the only entry-level hatchback in the Brazilian market capable of driving more than 700 kilometers (435 miles) on a tank of fuel. Now entering the 2023 model year, the FIAT brand’s city car for Latin America will now offer electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TC), and Hill Start Assist (also known as Hill Hold Assist) for the first time ever on the nameplate. The safety features are now offered across the 2023 lineup.

Available in two trims for 2023 (LIKE and Trekking), the Mobi comes standard with features like air conditioning, power steering, front power windows and locks, tire pressure sensor, dual airbags, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). You can equip the Mobi with features like power mirrors, alarm system, multifunction steering wheel with height adjustment, and aluminum wheels, for an optional cost.

Small on the outside, the Mobi is big on solutions. The Mobi offers comfort, a differentiated finish, and more interior space for its occupants than any of its competitors. The FIAT model has an adjustable driver seat, 965 mm (38 inches) of headroom for the driver, and 1,340 mm (53 inches) between the passengers’ shoulders.

The Mobi also presents great driving dynamics for such a small vehicle. Mobi has a stabilizer bar in the front suspension, combined with longer-travel shock absorbers and higher-load springs. It allows the car to have less body roll than the rest of the competition.

Fuel consumption is another keen attribute of Mobi. The Mobi is powered by the 1.0-liter FIRE Evo Flex four-cylinder. It’s Flex Fuel capability allows the FIAT city car to run on both gasoline and ethanol. While running on gasoline, the 1.0-liter produces 73 horsepower (54 kW) and 69 lb.-ft. (93 Nm) of torque. When on ethanol, the tiny engine gains an additional 2 horsepower (1 kW) and 3 lb.-ft. (4 Nm) of power. The 1.0-liter is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, that features a reverse lockout feature.

For 2023, FIAT has improved the efficiency of the Mobi. It can run up to 15 km/l (35.2 MPG) on gasoline, according to the Vehicle Labeling Program. This efficiency is combined with the largest fuel tank in the segment, at 47 liters (12.4 gallons), allowing the Mobi to run up to 705 kilometers (438 miles) without having to refuel. A 5 kilometer (3 miles) improvement over the 2022 model.
