CAUGHT: 2022 Fiat Pulse Crossover On Public Roads In Brazil:

FIAT's Newest Crossover Is Poised To Be A Hot Seller...

Thanks to our good friends at Auto Segredos (Auto Secrets), we are getting our first look at FIAT’s new Pulse crossover on the streets of Brazil, partially uncamouflaged. Known internally as “Project 363”, it wasn’t until recently that FIAT unveiled the vehicle production name after fans voted for it on social media. Now, it appears that engineers are doing final calibration testing as the all-new 2022 Fiat Pulse will arrive at Brazilian dealers in September.

While there aren’t many details about the Pulse crossover that have been released, thanks to Auto Segredos, have discussed a lot of details about the newest FIAT vehicle. This includes its powertrain choices of a naturally aspirated 1.3-liter FireFly inline-four-cylinder engine making around 100 horsepower and 99 lb.-ft. of torque on ethanol.

There will also be the option of a turbocharged 1.0-liter FireFly inline-three-cylinder engine delivering around 130 horsepower and an estimated torque between 123 lb.-ft. and 137 lb.-ft. of torque. The 1.0-liter will more than likely come with a CVT transmission, while the 1.3-liter will have both manual and CVT options.

It’s expected that the Pulse will retain much of the interior from the popular Fiat Argo. Again there aren’t many details about the new Pulse’s interior, as FIAT has yet to formally unveil the vehicle since its brief appearance on the season finale of Brazilian most popular TV show, Big Brother Brazil (BBB21)

Looking at the Pulse on the street, the new crossover seems to be a far cry from the Italian-influenced European offerings from the brand. The Brazilian-designed Pulse looks more sporty, less retro, and more modern. It will go on sale against competitors like the Ford EcoSport, Honda WR-V, and Volkswagon Nivus.

The Pulse should be one of the more popular vehicles in the FIAT Brazil lineup, once it arrives in dealer’s showrooms. The FIAT brand has been on a roll thanks to its new and updated products in the Brazilian market, and the new Pulse should add to its success.
