Handsome B5 Blue 'Cuda Blends Modern With Vintage...

The Plymouth ‘Cuda, particularly the 1970 model, holds a special place in the hearts of muscle car enthusiasts. Renowned for its power and performance, the ‘Cuda was available with legendary engines like the 426 HEMI® and 440-6, making it a highly sought-after classic. However, one particular ‘Cuda has undergone a transformation, receiving a modern powertrain and various modifications. This modified ‘Cuda, now available for auction on eBay, offers a blend of classic charm and contemporary upgrades, appealing to both muscle car purists and those seeking enhanced performance.

The ‘Cuda underwent a refurbishment in 2013, during which it received a stunning Blue Fire Metallic (B5) repaint. Complementing the paintwork are white AAR-style strobe stripes along the sides, a black fiberglass hood, ‘Cuda badging, and black front and rear spoilers. AAR-style shield decals with custom “HEMI 392” lettering add a unique touch. While the exterior shows signs of wear, such as rock chips, hood pin marks, and a cracked rear spoiler, it retains an overall eye-catching appearance.

Inside, the ‘Cuda sports a reupholstered black interior. A steering wheel with a polished Barracuda horn button takes center stage, accompanied by a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The seller made upgrades to the audio system, installing a Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth compatibility, a Hifonics amplifier, and a Kicker subwoofer. Sound insulation by Fat Mat enhances the driving experience, reducing noise and vibration.

The original powertrain of this ‘Cuda has been replaced with a 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 crate engine, delivering impressive power and performance. Paired with a Passon Performance A833 four-speed manual transmission, this combination offers a thrilling driving experience reminiscent of the golden age of muscle cars.

To improve handling and braking, the suspension has been enhanced with Hotchkis Sport Suspension components, including shocks, subframe connectors, enlarged torsion bars, and front and rear sway bars. Staggered-width 18-inch U.S. Mags wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 tires provide both style and traction on the road.

Wilwood hydraulic disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors ensure optimal stopping power. The front brakes feature six-piston calipers, while the rear brakes utilize four-piston calipers. These upgrades contribute to enhanced safety and control.

Whether you’re a die-hard muscle car enthusiast or someone looking to own a head-turning classic with modern conveniences, this customized Barracuda is sure to leave a lasting impression on the road.
