UPDATED: Leah Pritchett & SpeedKore Break The Demon World Record:

Breaks The Demon Record With 8.77-Second Run...

If you aren’t familiar with SpeedKore Performance Group, the Grafton, Wisconsin company is world known for its work with carbon fiber. The speciality car maker has an amazing list of machines it has built over the past decade, including some really amazing Mopars.

Last year at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), SpeedKore showed off an amazing 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with a full carbon fiber body. The carbon fiber cut roughly 250lbs off of the 4,250lbs of the standard SRT Demon.

This year, SpeedKore has stepped up its game. The company has a new trick up their sleeve this year. Again they will bring a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to SEMA with a full carbon fiber body, but this Demon has ditched the supercharger for a pair of 6875 Precision Billet Ball Bearing T4 turbochargers. SpeedKore says it is the first ever twin turbo Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The new powertrain setup is good for 1,203 rear-wheel horsepower or about 1,400 horsepower at the flywheel.

Since SEMA is at the end of the month, SpeedKore had  the newly crowned NHRA SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown Champion and NHRA Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett come up to run the car at Great Lakes Dragway on Tuesday. Leah, is one of the test drivers that worked for Dodge on the Demon program and is the one who set the NHRA-certified time for Dodge in a stock Demon at 9.65 at 140mph.

Leah ran the SpeedKore Challenger down to the quarter-mile at 8.81 in her first run. The second run in the carbon fiber Demon was even faster, with a 8.77 @ 161.57mph.

Below are some video clips of both of Leah’s runs with the car, thanks to Diablosport LLC’s Instagram page…
