Watch This Amazon Ram ProMaster Van Get Hit By An Amtrak Train

Driver Walks Away From This Incredible Accident...

In a jaw-dropping incident from 2021, Alexander Evans defied the odds and walked away from a horrifying crash involving his Amazon Ram ProMaster delivery van and an Amtrak train. Caught on camera, the video footage captures the sheer devastation as the train slices through the van just behind the front seats, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The crash occurred as Evans attempted to navigate an awkward intersection, unwittingly crossing unguarded railroad tracks. With the train rapidly approaching, he had little time to react before the devastating impact. The force of the collision sent Evans careening around inside the van, with his purple cap flying off his head as the airbags deployed.

Incredibly, Evans managed to unbuckle himself amidst the chaos, escaping serious injury. The video footage captures the harrowing moment as the train speeds past just feet from where he sits, leaving the van torn apart in its wake. While the front of the van remained relatively intact, the back end became lodged onto the front of the train, showcasing the sheer force of the collision.

What makes this incident even more remarkable is the unique construction of the Ram ProMaster. Unlike many traditional commercial vans in the market, which are built on heavy body-on-frame platforms borrowed from pickup trucks, the ProMaster boasts a unibody construction and front-wheel drive (FWD) setup.

The aftermath of the crash serves as a testament to the structural integrity of the Ram ProMaster’s unibody construction. While a traditional body-on-frame vehicle may have resulted in the entire cabin being dragged along the tracks, the ProMaster’s design allowed Evans to walk away from the scene relatively unscathed. Keep in mind, it was one of those perfect scenario situations, as the placement of the van on the tracks a few feet behind where it was could have caused a much deadlier outcome.

As Evans rummaged through the interior in the aftermath of the crash, the video footage serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safety precautions and awareness when navigating intersections and railway crossings. While Evans’ survival is nothing short of miraculous, it also underscores the need for greater vigilance and caution on the road.

As for the people on the train, there were no injuries for all 129 Amtrak passengers and 12 crew members onboard.
