Stellantis Announces Its Future Electrified Plans For Its Vehicle Portfolio:

Four New Architectures Will Be Used With BEV Capability...

Yesterday, Stellantis held its “Annual General Meeting” releasing new information about the future of the company and its direction towards electrification. During the meeting, it was announced that the company will offer electrified versions of almost its entire European lineup by 2025. The decision comes as regulations are being tightened for Europe and the Chinese markets to push forward sooner with its plans for zero-emissions vehicles.

Stellantis believes that company’s sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) will triple in 2021. They estimate that they will sell over 400,000 units by the end of the year. According to Tavares, the new CEO expects that the company’s electrified vehicles sales will make up to 38% of its European sales by 2025. That is quite the jump from the 14% the automaker expects to sell with the 400,000 units this year. Tavares also said that electric vehicle should make up 70% of European sales and 35% of sales in the United States by 2030.
