Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Wins “Sportscar of the Year” Title From AUTO BLID SPORTSCARS:

Back-To-Back Wins For The Italian Performance Brand...

Alfa Romeo’s high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio sedan has won the title of “Sportscar of the Year” by German magazine AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS. A total of 24 competitors faced one another in the “Sedans & Station Wagons / Serial Cars” category, with 117 vehicles total in 10 categories competing for the “Sportscar of the Year” title. The Guilia Quadrifoglio dominated both categories taking the title for both.

It’s no surprise that the 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio took the title, as its SUV sibling, the 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio won in its category and the overall title, last year. Both vehicles not only won the same award, but they are also powered by the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 510 horsepower (375 kW) and 443 lb.-ft. (600 N•m) of torque.

Unlike the Stelvio Quadrifoglio which features Alfa’s intelligent Q4 all-wheel-drive system, the Giulia Quadrifoglio delivers its power to the rear wheels thanks to the Alfa™ Active Torque Vectoring system. The Giulia Quadrifoglio uses a specially calibrated version of ZF’s 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission, which in “RACE” mode can bang-shift gears in only 150 milliseconds.

Giulia Quadrifoglio is fitted with a range of systems designed to enhance the driver’s driving experience and offer the most authentic and engaging experience behind the wheel. These include the Alfa™ Active Suspension, Alfa™ DNA Pro selector with RACE mode, and the Alfa™ Active Aero splitter. The systems work in rhythm with each other and utilizing the Alfa™ Chassis Domain Control unit, which in real-time ensures the ideal conditions for the vehicle and drive to help deliver the optimum performance of the vehicle.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $74,750 (excluding a $1,595 for destination charges).
