Ram Adds Tow Technology Group To Its Heavy Duty Tradesman Lineup:

New Package Allows Customers To Tow With More Ease...

If you follow MoparInsiders.com, you might remember back in February when Ram Trucks invited us out to test drive the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup before the truck hit dealer showrooms. At that time, Ram Trucks presented us with a 2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman Regular Cab Dually 4×2, equipped with the H.O. version of the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel, making 1,000 ft-lbs of torque to test drive. But instead of just giving us a truck to tool around with, they added 35,100 lbs. of Case backhoe and two pallets of weight hitched to the back of it.

The new 2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman was equipped with the Max Tow Package and made the best out of trailering all the weight around. Now, Ram is adding another new option to the Ram 2500 and 3500 Tradesman models starting this month.

The new Tow Technology Group adds a bunch of new content to the Tradesman, to make your towing adventure even easier. The new package includes…

  • Surround View Camera
  • Trailer Reverse Guidance
  • Cargo View Camera
  • Trailer Tow Mirrors with Trailer Spot Lamp & Power Convex Mirror
  • Blind Spot Monitoring with Cross Path Detection
  • 3.5-inch Color Driver Cluster
  • Big Horn/Lone Star Grille
2019 Ram Heavy Duty 8.4-inch Uconnect Touchscreen System. (Ram).

The new package will add $2,425 US to the sticker price of the Heavy Duty Tradesman models. However, there is a catch. In order to get the Tow Technology Group, you must add the new 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen option, which we talked about the other day, as well as the Tradesman Level 1 equipment group, Trailer Brake Controller, and Chrome Appearance Package.

The Tow Technology Group should add a lot more convenience to those who are using their Ram Heavy Duty Tradesman models out in the field, doing a lot of towing throughout the day.
