Stellantis North America has recently announced the appointment of Aamir Ahmed as the leader of the FIAT brand in North America, effective immediately. Ahmed, known for his progressive responsibilities and extensive experience, will spearhead the FIAT brand team, driving forward cool mobility solutions for customers in the region. His deep understanding of customer needs and technology will further strengthen the eco-friendly and stylish FIAT brand while pioneering a unique consumer experience for electric vehicle (EV) buyers.
Mark Stewart, the Stellantis North America COO, expressed his confidence in Ahmed’s appointment, stating, “Aamir is back where he belongs and at the right time, leading FIAT on its electrification path here in North America. We’re excited for him to hit the ground running.”
Ahmed is not new to Stellantis, having initially joined the company in 2011. During his previous tenure, he held positions in Uconnect/Connected Services and SRT Product/Brand Marketing. After leaving Stellantis, he gained valuable experience working for both Amazon and Harman International over a span of six years. With his return to Stellantis, Ahmed brings a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives to drive the FIAT brand’s success.
Having earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wayne State University, Ahmed possesses a strong educational foundation to complement his professional achievements.
In a related move, Larry Dominique, the previous leader of the FIAT brand, will shift his focus to leading the Alfa Romeo brand in North America. This strategic reassignment underscores Stellantis’ commitment to strengthening its brand portfolio and delivering exceptional experiences to customers across different segments.
