Stellantis Mexico has reported its sales results for March 2021 with a total of 6,203 units sold. That is a growth of 20% when compared to March 2020. Leading the way in Mexico was the Ram brand, with over 42% of total sales for Stellantis Mexico. The Jeep® brand was the second best-selling brand for Stellantis, followed by the Peugeot brand in a close third.
Ram Brand:
The Ram brand reported sales of 2,638 units, a growth of 2% compared to the same period in 2020. Ram 700 registered the best March in sales in its history, thanks in part to the launch of the all-new sub-compact 2021 Ram 700. Ram ProMaster and Ram ProMaster Rapid showed sales growth of 152% and 24% respectively, and the Ram 4000 increased its sales 10% versus March 2020.
Jeep® Brand:
Jeep sold 1,177 units, up 65% versus March 2020. Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Renegade posted the best March sales in their history and Jeep Gladiator sold 206 units, an increase of 70% compared to March 2020. The Gladiator Mojave was recently introduced to the Mexican marketplace as a limited edition model.
Peugeot Brand:
Peugeot registered sales of 1,045 units making it the best March in its history. Peugeot Partner, Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008, and Peugeot 5008 reported the best March in sales in their history. Peugeot Rifter improved its sales by 19% versus March 2020. The Peugeot Manager increased its sales 48% compared to March 2020.
FIAT Brand:
FIAT sold 621 units, an increase of 86% compared to March 2020. Fiat Mobi sold 238 units, a growth of 43% compared to March 2020. The Fiat Ducato commercial van had a sales increase of 44% versus March 2020, while Fiat Argo placed in the Mexican market 253 units.
Dodge Brand:
The Dodge brand reported sales of 684 units in March. The Dodge Attitude increased its sales 24% compared to March 2020. Dodge Charger also quadrupled its sales compared to March 2020.
Chrysler & Alfa Romeo Brands:
Chrysler sold 24 units in March. The Alfa Romeo brand sold 14 units. Alfa Romeo Giulietta tripled its sales compared to March 2020.
