Stellantis Begins Production Of Fiat Titano Pickup In Argentina
New Córdoba-Built Pickup Will Be Exported Across South America

Stellantis has officially kicked off production of the mid-size Fiat Titano pickup at its Córdoba Industrial Pole in Argentina, marking a major step in the company’s long-term regional growth strategy.
Until now, the Fiat Titano had been imported from Uruguay for the Brazilian market, where it went on sale in March 2024. With full-scale production starting at the Ferreyra Plant in Córdoba, the pickup will be built locally and exported across South America.

This isn’t just another truck rollout. It’s the first vehicle in a completely new family of pickups being developed under a $385 million investment Stellantis announced in 2024. That investment also includes an all-new engine production line and the creation of 1,800 new jobs, half of which are slated for women.
“This plant is not modernized only to produce more, but to produce better: with greater local integration and a quality that is constantly evolving,” said Emanuele Cappellano, President of Stellantis South America. “The Fiat Titano is much more than a new model — it’s part of a long-term industrial strategy to position the Córdoba plant as a true regional hub of pickups.”

The Córdoba-built Titano shares its DNA with the Chinese-developed Ram 1200, which has already found success in Mexico under the Ram brand. Like the Ram 1200, the Titano is designed to handle work duty while offering everyday drivability — a key trait for the region’s growing demand in the mid-size pickup market.
In addition to building the Titano, Stellantis is also preparing to manufacture a locally developed 2.2-liter MultiJet turbodiesel I4 engine. Production of this engine is expected to begin in 2027, with plans to equip multiple Stellantis models across the region.

“The Córdoba Industrial Pole writes today a new chapter in its rich history thanks to the productive power of Stellantis,” said Martín Zuppi, President of Stellantis Argentina. “This would not be possible without the know-how of our Ferreyra team — the same people who build the Fiat Cronos, Argentina’s best-selling car for the last four years.”
