SPOTTED: 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio
The Last ICE-Powered High-Performance Alfa SUV...
While the European market is already experiencing the Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s new mid-cycle action (MCA) updates for the 2023 model year, the North American market will have to wait just a tad longer. Those destinated for North America with the new features will be marked as the 2024 model year. But while Alfa Romeo pulled most of the wraps off of its turbocharged inline-four-cylinder lineup, it hasn’t yet publically shown its high-performance Quadrifoglio model.
While not much is expected to change in performance for the update, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio continues to be the fastest D-segment SUV available in the United States. With a 0 to 60 mph time in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph, the 2.9-liter (176 cubic-inch) all-aluminum twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 505 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque is a shear beast under the hood.
But what makes the 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio so special is the fact that this will be the last update for an internal combustion engined (ICE’d) performance SUV from the Italian brand. The next Stelvio is expected to be fully-electric and should produce 350 to 800 horsepower, a range of up to 435 miles (700 kilometers), and fast charging capabilities of 18 to 20 minutes (according to Stellantis) thanks to an 800-volt architecture.
These latest images by our friend Walter Vayr (@GabetzSPYUnit), show us that the updated 2024 model won’t be that drastically different from the 2023 model. The most obivious difference is the presence of its new LED matrix headlamps, which bring the Stelvio’s aging styling closer aligned to the all-new 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale C-segment UV.
Expect the updated 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio to make its North American debut later this summer.
