The Premium Package Will Return Once Again, According To Dealer Sources...
As the 2024 model year approaches, Ram enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of new information from the automaker. Exciting news has emerged, indicating the return of the highly anticipated Southfork Edition package for the Limited Longhorn model.
The Southfork Edition, originally introduced in 2018, aimed to enhance the Longhorn model with a touch of luxury. It featured a stunning interior adorned with Canyon Brown and Light Beige leather upholstery, complemented by leather-wrapped A- and B-pillar grab handles. The elegant cabin ambiance was completed by a Walnut-trimmed steering wheel, Light Greystone suede headliner, and matching visors. Notably, the tailgate boasted the striking L-O-N-G-H-O-R-N text name, signifying its exclusivity.
In 2022, the Southfork Edition returned as a premium appearance package for the Longhorn model. Building upon the success of the 2021 Ram 1500 Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition, the 2022 Southfork Edition offered an extended range of options to elevate the truck’s aesthetics and features.
For the upcoming 2024 model year, Ram is preparing to launch the highly anticipated Southfork Edition (sales code ACB) with an array of compelling content. Let’s take a closer look at what this luxurious package will include:
- Premium Leather Bucket Seats (*JY)
- Limited Longhorn Instrument Cluster (JY6)
- Multifunction Tailgate (MWK)
- Full-Size Spare Tire (TBB)
- Falken Wildpeak A/T 275/55R20 OWL All-Terrain Tires (TXP)
- Mopar® Bright Pedal Kit (XB4)
You can expect the Southfork Edition to feature the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine, coupled with the eTorque mild-hybrid system. This formidable powertrain delivers an impressive 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque, ensuring robust performance for any task at hand. Paired with an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the Southfork Edition offers a smooth and seamless driving experience.
While pricing details for the 2024 Southfork Edition are yet to be released, it is expected to be slightly higher than the 2022 model, which had a price tag of $1,295. With its enhanced features and luxurious appointments, the Southfork Edition promises exceptional value for truck enthusiasts seeking both refinement and capability.
