Several Wrecked 2023 Chrysler 300Cs Have Ended Up On Copart

It always seems like limited edition high-performance Mopars drop like flies once they reach the market. Over the past three years, we have watched several Dodge Durango SRT HELLCATs wind up on Copart’s online vehicle auction site. Now, we are seeing several limited edition 2023 Chrysler 300Cs end up on the site as well.

The 2023 Chrysler 300C honored the iconic 300 with a special, one-model year, limited production run of 2,000 units in the U.S. (200 units in Canada).

What makes the 300C so unique is its powertrain. It marked the first time in nine years that the 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI® SRT V8 returned to the 300 in the North American market. For 2023, the 392 produced 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, propelling the big four-door sedan to a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.3 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.4 seconds, and a top speed of 160 mph.

The 392 HEMI was paired with the ZF-sourced 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission, which optimized fuel economy while offering maximum performance in Track mode with 160-millisecond shifts. Additional performance features included Red four-piston Brembo® brakes, a 3.09 limited-slip differential, active damping suspension, and Black rounded exhaust tips that accent an active exhaust system that delivers a muscular, throaty sound.

Over the past few months, we have seen a number of the limited edition models appear on Copart. The good news is that if you are one of the unfortunate owners whose 300C ended up on Copart, a number of the cars are still available on dealer lots. Despite selling out in just 12 hours, many owners backed out of their cars when they arrived on dealer lots, due to climbing interest rates.

Unlike the Dodge Charger Scat Pack, the 300C features a more luxury-oriented package. Inside, the 300C features Black Laguna leather seats, embossed with the ‘300C’ logo, and accented with Silver stitching. The Silver stitching also adorns the doors and leather instrument panel (I/P). Carbon fiber and Piano Black trim pieces also highlight the interior.

The 300C packs a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay comes standard. Advanced brake assist, Lane Departure Warning Plus, and Full-Speed Collision Warning Plus are just a few of the standard safety features. In contrast, comfort features include a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated front seats, and a giant panoramic sunroof. All for the U.S. MSRP of $55,995 (excluding destination). If you optioned an equally equipped 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, the price would be roughly $10,000 more.

While the Charger may give off more of the ‘muscle car’ vibe, the sport sedan undertone of the 300C doesn’t mean it’s any less of a performance machine. It’s just a shame seeing these rare machines wind up on places like Copart so quickly.
