Jeep® Officially Names Its New B-UV The Avenger!

New Battery-Electric Vehicle Will Wear A Nameplate Familiar With The Dodge Brand...

During today’s “4xe Day” presentation, we officially learned the name of the upcoming all-electric Jeep® B-UV: the Jeep Avenger (JJ).

2023 Jeep® Avenger e BEV. (Jeep).

That’s right, wearing a nameplate most familiar with the Dodge Avenger passenger car, the new subcompact Jeep is the brand’s battery-electric vehicle (BEV). Focused on the global market, the Avenger will be introduced first in Europe, and then will be offered in Japan and South Korea soon after. The Avenger will sit below the Renegade in the brand’s global portfolio and will not be offered in the North American market, according to our sources.

With a targeted electric range of 400 kilometers (or about 250 miles), the new B-UV will offer impressive ground clearance, break-over, and approach angles for its segment, while delivering a modern and technologically advanced interior, with plenty of space for people and cargo.

The BEV model should make its debut in early 2023, while a turbocharged 1.0-liter (GSE-T3) inline-three-cylinder engine will be available as an internal combustion engine (ICE) alternative that should start production before the end of the year at the Stellantis Tychy Assembly Plant in Poland.

“The all-new Avenger will offer Jeep brand capability that is rightsized for the European market,” said Antonella Bruno, Head of Jeep Europe, “This modern, fun, and emotional SUV will appeal to a growing set of customers who are looking for a capable, compact, modern and all-electric Jeep brand alternative to the current players.”

Was the original avenger ever global? Then it wont be confusing to future buyers, just everyone in NA.

Sort of surprised it wont be in NA but i guess the ecosport and whatever else is down in this segment not worth competing against?
