Stellantis, operating through FCA – FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMÓVEIS BRASIL LTDA., has announced a recall for certain 2024 Ram Rampage compact pickup trucks equipped with the turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane4 I4 engine. The recall affects vehicles manufactured with gasoline engines, specifically from chassis numbers RKR50135 to RKR72498.
The recall, starting on September 9, 2024, aims to address a potential issue with the semi-axles, which could break and result in the vehicle losing traction. This defect raises the risk of accidents, potentially leading to material damage, serious injuries, or even fatalities for vehicle occupants or third parties.
Owners of affected Ram Rampage trucks are encouraged to schedule a visit to their nearest Ram dealership for a free semi-axle replacement. The estimated repair time is approximately two hours. To ensure timely service, Stellantis advises owners to contact their dealership in advance to confirm appointment availability.
Since its release in Brazil, the 2024 Ram Rampage has quickly gained popularity, becoming a top choice for those seeking a compact yet powerful pickup truck. The Rampage has earned a reputation for its robust performance, modern design, and versatility on urban streets and rugged terrain. Its growing fan base and strong sales highlight its appeal among Brazilian drivers looking for a dependable and capable vehicle in the competitive pickup market.
