READY TO ROCK! Jeep® Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon Concept:

This EcoDiesel Gladiator Is Ready To Rock Crawl...

The 2021 Moab Easter Jeep® Safari is almost here, so earlier this week, both the Jeep and Mopar brands showed off their new lineup of specialty-built concept vehicles for the annual event showcasing what both brands have to offer the Jeep community. Jeep enthusiasts from all over the world will gather from March 27th to April 4th in Moab for an extended holiday week of trail rides and technical off-roading on some of the most challenging and picturesque terrain.

For those looking to tackle the toughest terrain, you are going to need an equally tough powertrain. The Jeep Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon Concept builds upon a long-standing heritage of hardworking trucks, paired with legendary Jeep 4×4 capability to deliver ultimate performance, fuel efficiency, and driving range.

Under the hood of the Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon is the third-generation turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6. Rated at 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, with engine stop-start (ESS) technology standard, the EcoDiesel proves to be the best combination for the Gladiator off-road. To handle greater torque loads, the EcoDiesel V6 connects an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which has been calibrated for low RPM shifts and to easily crawl over rigorous terrain.

When it comes to running gear, the Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon features Dana 44 front and rear heavy-duty axles that have been upgraded with 4.88 axle ratios for optimum performance. There is an impressive 91:1 crawl ratio to tackle the toughest trails that Moab has to throw at it.

The Red Bare Gladiator Rubicon gets its overall design inspiration from the passion and enthusiasm of Jeep SUV owners who spend countless hours creating customized looks and modifications to express the unique personality of their trusty off-roading vehicle. Gladiator Red Bare boasts a Firecracker Red exterior with custom Matte Black graphics and gold accents, along with a Gladiator Mojave hood and cowl pieces, a custom hood graphic, and Matte Black signature seven-slot grille insert. Helping to add to its rugged appearance is a black factory soft-top and half doors for ultimate open-air freedom (the first time we have seen the Gladiator with half-doors).

Inside, Mopar has incorporated a set of custom Katzkin Black leather seats with red stitching and custom red flannel inserts. The instrument panel has been wrapped in the same red flannel material, giving the interior a bold, rustic finish any flannel lover, hipster or lumberjack would love. The interior accents are body-color-matched truck-bed lined floors with Mopar slush mats.
