RAM Renaming Its Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn For 2021:

New Model Name Will Reflect Its Luxury Heritage...

The Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn has made a name for itself as the “no-compromise” luxury pickup. Using premium materials, the Laramie Longhorn has carried iconic features and design cues from traditionally handcrafted, time-tested wares such as the antique pocket watch, hand-tooled leather cowboy boots, or a horseman’s saddle. The Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn uses wood, metal, and leather elements, all of which are authentic adding to the luxury “western” theme of the truck.

For the 2021 model year, the RAM brand is realigning the Laramie Longhorn nameplate to fit more of its luxury persona. RAM is dropping the Laramie part of the Laramie Longhorn name and replacing it with Limited – creating the new “Limited Longhorn” name.

While the luxurious Limited trim still sits on top of the Ram 1500 lineup, it shares a lot of its premium equipment with the Limited Longhorn thus explains the name change. Things like chrome accents, chrome bumpers, premium LED headlamps with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), tow hooks, wheel flares, and side steps are just a few things that the two premium models share.

The name change is just one of the many changes coming for the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn. A new Heads-Up Display with custom modes, a new digital rear-view mirror, Uconnect Off-Road pages (on 4×4 Off-Road models), and new Trailer Tow Package features are just a few of the updates making their way into the luxury offering.

The new Enhanced Trailer Tow Package offers the Limited Longhorn the best trailering experience yet in a Ram 1500. An integrated trailer brake controller, trailer reverse steering controls, trailer tire pressure monitor, and trailer light check are part of the new Enhanced Trailer Tow Package. There are also two choices of towing mirrors available for the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn, Power-Fold Trailer Mirrors with Heat or the new Power-Fold Trailer Mirrors with Heat featuring 360-degree cameras.

The Limited Longhorn Edition belt-buckle badge will appear on the front doors and tailgate of the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn.
