Ram Brazil Introduces Exclusive 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Quarter Horse Special Edition:
Saddle Up Once Again...
The RAM brand continues to push its presence in the Brazilian marketplace with another new special-edition Ram 2500 offering for the 2021 model year. Coming hot off the successful launch of the 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo, the 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Quarter Horse continues the partnership between Ram Brazil and the Brazilian Quarter Horse Breeders Association (ABQM) which is celebrating its 52nd anniversary.
To celebrate the occasion, Ram Brazil is releasing 52 units of the Laramie Quarter Horse. But there is a catch, within an hour of going on sale last week, all 52 trucks were pre-reserved within an hour, from the initial announcement made by ABQM’s YouTube channel (you can see the video above).
Laramie Quarter Horse will feature the same Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck Prep Group as the Laramie Rodeo, which leaves five holes on the bed floor, one of which is the center pin for hitching a gooseneck trailer and the others are four are to mount a fifth-wheel hitch. There is also a 115-volt socket with 4 and 7 pin outlets for powering a trailer. The standard Laramie grille (Brazilian market Laramie models use the Limited grille insert), clearance lights, and a set of 18-inch x 8-inch Polished Aluminum wheels wrapped with LT275/70R18E Nexen Roadian A/T Pro RA8 tires are all carry-over items from the Rodeo.
The Ram 2500 Laramie Quarter Horse (Quarto de Milha in Portuguese), goes beyond the unique badging on the side of the front doors. The 52 units will also feature power running boards, the Towing Technology Group which adds Mirror-Mounted Auxiliary Reverse Lamps, Power Adjustable Convex Aux Mirrors, Center Stop Lamp with Cargo-View Camera, Exterior Mirrors with Memory, and Power-Heated Folding Memory Trailer-Tow Mirrors, some of the same technology showcased on the newly released Brazilian-spec 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel.
The standard Safety Group package adds Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Adaptive Steering System, Digital Rearview Mirror, Full-Speed Forward-Collision Warning Plus, Lane-Keep Assist, Automatic High-Beam Headlamp-Control, and Rain-Sensitive Windshield Wipers to the Laramie Quarter Horse.
Inside, there is a ton of luxury equipment including a RamCharger wireless phone charger, heated rear seats, and Harman Kardon®’s premium 750-watt sound system with 16-speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer. There are also the goodies included in the traditional Brazilian-spec Laramie as well, like the 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with Navigation, 360° Surround-View camera system, cargo camera, active noise cancellation, and a 9-speaker Alpine premium audio system with a subwoofer.
With its 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 turbo diesel engine, the Ram 2500 Laramie Quarter Horse is capable of towing up to 17,330 lbs (7,861 kg) thanks to 365 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft. of torque (110.7 kgfm) and its standard trailer sway control (TSC) and trailer brake.
Customers will be able to choose from Pearl White or Diamond Black exterior colors, as well as their choice from Black or Mountain Brown/Light Beige interior colors. More details on pricing will be released closer to launch.
