Ram Brazil Bids Farewell To 1500 Classic With Limited Edition R/T

Limited Edition R/T Model Restricted to Just 100 Units...

For the past fifteen years, the Ram 1500 (DS) has played an important role for the Ram Truck brand. Since 2019, after the debut of the fifth-generation Ram 1500 (DT), the DS truck has been known as the Ram 1500 Classic and has continued to offer the cheapest V8 full-size pickup across the North American market and elsewhere in the world.

In the Brazilian market, Ram is considered a premium luxury brand. As the brand has continued to grow at an extremely fast rate, Ram introduced the Ram 1500 Classic to Brazil in 2023. There, it offered a more budget-friendly option into the brand, offering both Laramie and R/T models, before quickly adding a Laramie Night Edition to the lineup a few months later.

Since then, sales continued to grow until the arrival of the compact Brazilian-built Rampage pickup. Now, as Ram is gearing up to finally put the Ram 1500 Classic to rest after a very long lifespan, Ram Trucks Brazil is marking the end of an era with the launch of a special edition Ram 1500 Classic R/T, limited to just 100 units. The special edition series marks an end to the iconic HEMI® V8 engine in the Ram 1500, a significant chapter in the brand’s storied history.

Exclusive Design Features –

The Brazilian Ram 1500 Classic R/T boasts several unique design elements that highlight its sporty character. Darkened headlights and taillight lenses, an exclusive cross-shaped grille with the Ram logo, and matte decals reminiscent of classic Dodge Chargers set this model apart. Available in two colors—Diamond Black and Flame Red—each truck features a badge inside indicating its number in the series out of 100.

To further underscore its exclusive nature, the truck comes with a special kit including a metal toolbox and a leather folder containing a certificate of acquisition and a congratulatory letter from Juliano Machado, Vice President of the Ram brand for South America.

Celebrating the HEMI® Legacy –

Few engines in the automotive world hold the revered status of the HEMI® V8. Known for its powerful performance and distinctive exhaust note, the HEMI® has been a symbol of muscle car culture for over 70 years. To honor this legacy, the Ram 1500 Classic R/T features a 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 engine delivering 400 horsepower (298 kW) and 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque. Equipped with Multiple Displacement System (MDS) technology to improve fuel efficiency by deactivating four cylinders when not needed, this engine pairs with an 8-speed 8HP70 TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

Performance and Comfort –

Beyond its powerful engine, the Ram 1500 Classic R/T offers robust capabilities and premium features. With a towing capacity of 3,534 kg (7,789 lbs) and a cargo volume of 1,424 liters (50.3 cubic feet), this truck is designed to handle heavy loads while providing comfort for up to five occupants. Inside, it features an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C with navigation multimedia center compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium 9-speaker Alpine sound system, and heated and ventilated front seats.

A Special Farewell –

“This exclusive and limited edition is Ram’s tribute to this incredible pickup and its HEMI V8 that provokes so much emotion among engine lovers,” explained Juliano Machado. “[There] will only be 100 units of the Classic. And nothing better than a series called R/T to provide this very special moment for the brand,” he added.

The limited edition Ram 1500 Classic R/T will be available for a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of R$ 359,990 (or about $73,000 USD), starting on Tuesday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m., until all 100 units are sold.

Continuing the Ram Legacy in Brazil –

While the Ram 1500 Classic bids farewell to the Brazilian market, Ram Brazil will continue to offer other models, including the imported 1500, 2500, and 3500, as well as the locally produced Rampage. Ram looks to be replacing the Ram 1500 Classic in Brazil with a badge-engineered Ram 1200, based on the Fiat Titano and Peugeot Landtrek.

The last units of the Classic Laramie and Laramie Night Edition will also remain available while supplies last.

The launch of the Ram 1500 Classic R/T not only celebrates a rich heritage but also sets a high note for the model’s departure from the Brazilian market, ensuring it will be remembered by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
