The Latin American fleet market is evolving rapidly, embracing new players and services, which has led to increased maturity and professionalism in the industry. This transformation underscores the significance of corporate fleet and mobility solutions for Latin America as a region and, in particular, for Latin American companies.
Building upon the previous year’s success, the Fleet LATAM Conference returned to Mexico City on September 25 and 26, 2023. Over the course of two days dedicated to exploring the trends, challenges, ecosystems, threats, and opportunities in the Latin American fleet sector, participants exchanged, established connections, and analyzed insights from international fleet and mobility experts.
One of the highlights of this year’s conference was the recognition awarded to the best fleet managers of responsible vehicles across Latin America. In a prestigious ceremony attended by Pascal Serres, President of the Advisory Board of Fleet LATAM, and Steven Schoefs, Head of Strategic Relations of Global Fleet, Rafael Paz, Director of Ram Trucks Mexico, proudly accepted the 2023 LATAM “LCV Fleet of the Year” award on behalf of the Ram 700.
“Since its emergence as an independent vehicle brand in 2009, the Ram brand has been committed to crafting the finest pickups and commercial vehicles in the industry,” remarked Rafael Paz. “The Ram 700 has redefined the concept of a small pickup in its category, offering functionality that makes it an ideal tool for various work activities, whether in urban settings for goods delivery and distribution or for personal use.”
The Ram 700 stands out as the most comprehensive small pickup in its class, boasting exceptional capability, versatility, safety, and technological advancement. Designed to meet the demands of the industrial, construction, and commerce sectors, as well as recreational activities, the Ram 700 can comfortably accommodate up to five passengers while delivering superior cargo capacity.
Buyers can select from a range of configurations, including Regular and Crew Cab, with load capacities of up to 1,653 pounds for the SLT version of the Regular Cab and 1,433 pounds for the Crew Cab. In terms of cargo volume, the RAM 700 SLT Regular Cab leads the pack with an impressive 40.3 cubic feet, while it can also tow up to 882 pounds.
The Fleet LATAM Car Awards selection process was a collaborative endeavor involving key industry stakeholders. Leasing companies from across Latin America contributed their expertise, while fleet managers with hands-on experience in Latin American operations provided valuable insights based on real-world usage and practical considerations.
