Rally Car Champ, Ken Block Has Passed Away At The Age Of 55
Snowmobile Accident Claimed The Life Of The Legend...
Ken Block, rally car champion, action sports superstar, and co-founder of DC Shoes and the Hoonigan brands has passed away at the age of 55 following a snowmobile accident in Utah.
According to reports from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Block was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the sled suddenly flipped and landed on top of him. The report indicates that Block was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries from the incident.
In recent months, Block teamed up with the Ram Truck brand to launch the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Limited Edition. Block was in charge of putting the truck through its paces in Johnson Valley, California.
The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Limited Edition was the second of three installments thus far of the famed supercharged off-roader. Equipped with the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group and included a unique Mojave Sand exterior color and graphic scheme, unique 18-inch all-Black Beadlock capable wheels, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a spray-in bedliner, cargo-tie downs, bed step, and LED cab-mounted brake light.
Inside, the TRX Sandblast Limited Edition includes Light Frost accent stitching, an embroidered “TRX” seat back logo, unique carbon fiber accents, leather and carbon-fiber flat-bottom steering wheel, a unique center console badge, Head-Up Display (HUD), and a driver’s screen that features TRX in Mojave Sand. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist, and pedestrian emergency braking.
