Radford Racing School is hitting the road for the first time ever—and they’re bringing the heat. From June 16 through August 29, the legendary Arizona-based racing school is taking over Qlispé Raceway Park just outside Spokane, Washington, for their new “Radford on the Road” summer series. It’s a unique opportunity for Pacific Northwest enthusiasts to get behind the wheel of real-deal Dodge SRT HELLCATs and even the fire-breathing 1,025 horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170.

This traveling program marks the first time Radford has taken their high-performance driver training outside their home track in Chandler, Arizona. It’s a big deal—and an even bigger thrill for those who sign up. The schedule includes two offerings: a 2-Day Drag Racing Course and a 1-Day Road Racing Experience, both featuring Dodge’s baddest muscle cars.
The 2-Day Drag Racing Course is free for Demon 170 owners, but it’s also open to anyone who wants to pay their way in. Day one includes passes in both the 717 horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT and the Demon 170, with detailed coaching on launch techniques, tire warm-up, and throttle control. Day two digs deeper into the Demon 170’s exclusive features, like its trans brake and drag-specific tuning, capping off with four full-on 9-second quarter-mile runs. Students can even walk away with their NHRA 9-second license.

The optional 1-Day Road Racing Experience runs $1,999 and focuses on improving on-track driving skills. It includes autocross and lead-follow track sessions with instructors, all behind the wheel of a HELLCAT. It’s available as a standalone or add-on experience. Daily lunch is included in both programs.
Qlispé Raceway Park is no stranger to high-performance action, with its NHRA-sanctioned quarter-mile drag strip and a 2.3-mile road course. The venue is managed by Northern Quest Resort & Casino, giving students and guests the option to stay on-site with special discounted rates during the program.

“Everyone is revved up for the new Radford on the Road program, which will take our professional driver training directly to enthusiasts across the country,” said Chuck Sundstrom, General Manager of Radford Racing School. “We’re headed to Qlispé Raceway Park in Washington State this summer to bring what we do to the Spokane area and the entire Pacific Northwest, which has an incredible motorsports and racing community.”
Mike Eames, NHRA Northwest Division Director, also voiced support for the new program. “The Northwest Division is excited to host the renowned Radford Racing School at Qlispé Raceway Park this summer as a part of their Radford on the Road program,” Eames said. “The school offers a great opportunity to better yourself behind the wheel, including a chance to earn your NHRA Street Legal License in a Demon 170. We’ve seen the success of the program in other regions, and it’s great to bring it to racers and car enthusiasts in our part of the country.”

Whether you’re a seasoned drag racer or just a Mopar nut looking to make some memories, “Radford on the Road” is shaping up to be one of the most exciting car events of the summer in the Northwest.
