Peugeot 308 Wins “Urban Car Of The Year” At The 2022 WWCOTY Awards!
40 Women Journalists Have Chose The New 308 As Their Top Choice...
The all-new Peugeot 308 has been named the “Urban Car of the Year”, according to the 2022 Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) jury, a panel of 56 motoring journalists from 40 countries spanning 5 continents. In its 12th year, the jury appraised no less than 65 candidates launched between January 1st to December 31st, 2021.
After identifying the winning models in 6 separate categories (Urban Vehicle, Family SUV, Family Car, Large SUV, Sports Car, and 4×4), the 56 members of the jury will elect their final Women’s World Car of the Year in early March. The result of their vote will be announced around March 8th, International Women’s Day.
Two versions of the new Peugeot are available – a 5-door compact sedan and a station wagon. Designed to be highly efficient, the Peugeot 308 can be powered by low-emission gasoline options with 110 or 130 horsepower, a 130 horsepower diesel, as well as plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains with 180 or 225 horsepower. A battery-electric vehicle (BEV) version will become available in 2023.
If the exterior design of the Peugeot 308 is appealing, its interior is also convincing, thanks to the special care taken with its quality, its latest-generation digital interfaces, and the unique ergonomics of the Peugeot i-Cockpit, recognizable by all with its compact steering wheel, which offers a more intuitive and direct driving experience.

After the double victory in 2021 of the Peugeot 2008 (Urban SUV category) and Peugeot 208 (Urban Vehicle category), the Peugeot 308 makes the brand’s third vehicle to win a WWCOTY category in just 2 years.
