Some Dealers Are Charging $10K Over Sticker For Charger Widebody Models:

Hellcat Daytona Models Aren't The Only Ones Getting Premium Prices Added...

Last weekend, we told you about how some Dodge dealers were trying to push an additional $25,000 on top of the window stickers for the all-new 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. Since then we have had a few people reach out to us with other new Dodge Charger Widebody models, that are also getting huge additional prices added into the price as well.

If you think the new 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody wouldn’t be affected, think again. We found one dealer slapping $10,000 on top of the sticker of the new 6.4-liter HEMI-powered muscle car. While the increase of $25,000 over sticker on the limited edition run of 501 units of the new SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition might seem a bit crazy, $10,000 over a non-special edition Scat Pack Widebody seems ludicrous to us. We did go to that dealer’s actual website, where they were still charging a $9,500 additional charge.

With the continuation of the “Dodge Power Dollars” for left-over 2019 Dodge Charger and Challenger models, it makes no sense to us to pay $70,000 for a 485 horsepower sedan, when you can find a left-over 707 horsepower 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat on lots with huge incentives on the hood, for about $12,000 or more cheaper. It makes no sense to us.

While searching websites like Cars.com and AutoTrader.com, we did notice a lot of dealers doing markups on the 2020 Dodge Charger Widebody models. But, we also saw quite a few dealers also selling the vehicles at sticker price or even listing prices with the current incentives in place. So it goes to show when you are looking for a new vehicle to be sure to shop around.
