Ram Brazil Takes Home Two 2023 Lotus Sales Champion Awards

Ram 3500 Became The Third Best-Selling Premium Vehicle In Brazil For 2022...

For 30 years, the Lotus Sales Champion Award has recognized the manufacturers and distributors of commercial vehicles that stand out in the Brazilian market. Organized by Frota & Cia magazine, Ram Brazil took home two different Lotus Sales Champion Awards for its results in 2022.

Launched last March, the 2022 Ram 3500 (D2) quickly assumed the position of the brand’s best-selling pickup in the country. As the third best-selling premium vehicle in the country in 2022, the Ram 3500 is the toughest diesel pickup on the market, in addition to being the most capable, luxurious, and technological.

Powered by the award-winning 6.7-liter Cummins® inline-six turbodiesel engine that delivers 377 horsepower and 1,150 Nm (848 lb.-ft.) of torque, the Ram 3500 has the highest payload and towing capacities of any truck in Brazil – 1,752 kg (3,862 lb) and 9,021 kg (19,888 lb), respectively.

With stats like that, it is easy while that 2,201 units of the Ram 3500 were registered in 2022. This allowed the Ram brand to take the Lotus Sales Champion Award for best sales in its segment of Semi-Light Trucks with a total gross weight of 3,500 kg (7,716 lb).

Ram also won another Sales Champion Award as the best-selling Semi-Light Truck brand. Besides the Ram 3500 Limited Longhorn and Laramie models, it was joined by the Ram 2500 (DJ), which has been imported to Brazil since 2005. Together, the two Ram Heavy Duty duo totaled no less than 40% participation in the category.
