One Wicked Destroyer Grey Painted Resto-Mod 1969 Dodge Charger!
This Resto-Mod Charger, Has Us Drooling...
One of the most popular classic Mopar muscle cars has to be the iconic 1969 Dodge Charger. While there are a lot of amazing resto-mod muscle car builds out there, our friend Shawn from Autotopia LA happened upon an amazing build from Alex of Uribe Performance. Alex has built an amazing looking 1969 Dodge Charger with a modern powertrain for his daily driver. What sets the build apart from others is the fact that it was painted in one of our favorite modern Mopar colors – Destroyer Grey.
Under the hood, is the 6.1-liter HEMI V8 from the first-generation Dodge Charger SRT8. In its stock form, the 6.1-liter HEMI makes 425-horsepower and 420 lb.-ft of torque and is mated to the stock 5-speed automatic transmission. A set of Magnaflow mufflers make the HEMI rumble in the B-Bodied Charger.
Alex, had the interior completely redone by California Upholstery, blending modern material into the classic muscle car body. A custom center console adds cupholders and allows the modern-day automatic transmission shifter a place to rest. Blue LED lighting highlights the interior’s aluminum and Alcantara accents. Of course, modern gauges and a modern infotainment system have also been installed, giving the 51-year-old muscle car a modern look inside.
The 1969 Dodge Charger continues to be one of the most beautiful vehicles ever to come out of Detroit. It’s hard not to love this particular car. So what do you think of Alex’s 1969 Dodge Charger? Post your comments below.
