New York CDJR Dealer Employee Accused Of Stealing $50,000

Dealership Employee Faces Multiple Charges...

An employee at Victory Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram (CDJR) in Rome, New York, is facing serious charges after allegedly stealing more than $50,000 from the dealership. Jodi Haddad, 48, of Stockbridge, New York, has been charged with one count each of second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony, and first-degree falsifying business records, and a class E felony.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case after receiving a complaint from the dealership on April 23. The dealership accused Haddad of stealing a significant amount of money over some time. The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit, which led to Haddad’s arrest on June 20.

According to the sheriff’s office, Haddad was taken into custody and processed at the law enforcement building. She was later arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court in the Oneida County Correctional Facility. Despite the serious charges, Haddad was released on her own recognizance and pleaded not guilty during her arraignment.

A hearing is scheduled for August 5 in Rome City Court, where Judge Stephanie Viscelli will preside. The case will also be presented to a grand jury. As the investigation continues, a trial date will be set.

The dealer did not provide details about her role. However, Haddad’s LinkedIn profile has her listed as the Controller/Office Manager at Victory CDJR since July 2022.

Hope she will make full restitution if charges are proven in court. Temptation with given confidences is all too common. Sorry most for her family. With true contrition and remorse time will afford redemption and healing. I’ll say a prayer for her. Sad to hear.
