More Semiconductor Shortages Forces Ram To Revise Some Packages For Heavy Duty Trucks!
Ram Will Revise Packages Next Month...
As the ongoing semiconductor shortages continue, Ram is making more adjustments to its Ram Heavy Duty (2500 & 3500) ordering options. Thanks to our dealer connections, we have learned that semiconductor shortages have forced restrictions on those Heavy Duty trucks featuring either Digital Rearview Mirrors (GRG), or the Trailer Surround View Camera System (XN1), or both.
These ordering restrictions will be affecting the following option packages…
Availability | Safety Group (AAU) | Safety Group B (AAV) | Tow Mode Camera (XH7) |
Tow Mode DRVM Group (AVF) |
Limited Level 1 (A69) | Trailer Surround View Camera (XN1) |

Our dealer sources are saying Ram is promising to offer revised versions of the Safety Group, Safety Group B, and Limited Level 1 Equipment Group without the digital rearview mirror as soon as possible. It is estimated that the changes will take effect in June.
The changes will also affect the Ram Heavy Duty Chassis Cab (Ram 3500, 4500, 5500) lineups as well.
