Mopar’s Pet Accessory Push Grows As “Mopaw” Trademark Surfaces

A Dedicated, Premium Pet Lifestyle Direction For Mopar

Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) has quietly filed a new trademark that could signal an interesting expansion for the Mopar brand. On December 19, 2026, the company submitted an application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the name “Mopaw” — a clear play on Mopar — tied to a wide-ranging lineup of pet-focused accessories.

As of now, the filing is listed as LIVE/APPLICATION/Awaiting Examination, meaning it has met the basic filing requirements but has not yet been assigned to a USPTO examiner. That status is normal early in the process and doesn’t guarantee approval, but it does confirm Stellantis’ intent to protect the name.

“Mopaw” Trademark Filing. (USPTO).

Mopaw covers an extensive catalog of pet-related products designed specifically for vehicles and everyday pet use. On the automotive side, the trademark includes vehicle partitions, cargo liners, rear bumper guards, seat protectors, fitted seat covers, console covers, and even license plate frames. In simple terms, these points refer to accessories designed to keep vehicles clean, protected, and pet-friendly.

The filing goes well beyond the vehicle itself. Mopaw also spans pet carriers, kennels, portable beds, pet ramps, hammocks, bowls, and protective vinyl door sheets to prevent scratching. Additionally, the trademark covers leashes, collars, harnesses, restraining straps, and locking restraint systems — all items that fit squarely into the growing market for premium pet travel gear.

While Mopaw is new, Mopar’s interest in pet accessories isn’t. Recently, Mopar introduced a “Mopaw” rear-seat pet carrier priced at $218.50 USD, marketed as part of a premium pet accessory push. That carrier is designed to clip directly into a vehicle’s Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) system, allowing pets to ride securely in the back seat of cars, trucks, and SUVs. It was a clear signal that Mopar sees pet travel as more than just an afterthought.

This move also fits the broader Stellantis ecosystem. Brands like Chrysler and Jeep® have long leaned into lifestyle accessories, especially those catering to families and outdoor-focused buyers — many of whom travel with pets.

If Mopaw ultimately reaches production, it would give Mopar a dedicated, pet-specific sub-brand that feels on-theme with its performance and lifestyle roots. For MoparInsiders readers, it’s another reminder that the Mopar name continues to evolve — not just under the hood, but everywhere owners and their four-legged passengers ride along.
