When a 2021 Dodge Durango SRT HELLCAT worth nearly $100,000 rolled into the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department impound lot, it wasn’t headed for resale or police duty. Instead, the supercharged SUV met a hydraulic crusher. Authorities announced this week that the high-powered Dodge was confiscated during the 2024 Street Rod Nationals. The vehicle was found to contain stolen parts, including its engine and frame making it ineligible for auction or fleet service due to liability and cost concerns. RECALL: 53,849 Alfa Romeo Models for Potential Fuel Pump Failure
Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) has announced a recall of approximately 53,849 units of its 2017–2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia (GA) and 2018–2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio (GU) models due to a potential fuel pump failure. A failing fuel pump may reduce or stop fuel flow, resulting in engine fuel starvation. Fuel starvation can cause a sudden loss of motive power (LOMP) without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. In some cases, customers may notice the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illuminating before the issue occurs.
