Mopar has just teased another exciting concept vehicle ahead of the 2024 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, which will take place from November 5-8, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year, Mopar’s second teaser showcases a restomod concept based on a classic 1967 Plymouth Belvedere, bringing anticipation to muscle car enthusiasts.
Plymouth Belvidere Restomod Build –
While full details remain under wraps, the teaser image titled “Muscle Flex” provides a glimpse of the bold design. The dark blue Plymouth features restomod enhancements, including modernized hood vents, sleek LED headlamps, and an aggressive front chin extension. Mopar is keeping things vague, but they’ve hinted that the concept blends muscle car heritage with forward-thinking innovation. In their words, “What kind of future is there for a legendary muscle car? A concept from Mopar may show the answer.”
Pervious Restomod Builds From Mopar –
Mopar has a reputation for creating standout restomod builds for SEMA, and this Plymouth Belvedere concept promises to follow in those footsteps. Past projects have wowed crowds with creative blends of classic styling and modern powertrains. For example, the 1971 Dodge Challenger Shakedown Concept incorporated a 392 HEMI® V8 and inspired the 2023 Shakedown “Last Call” models. Other notable builds include the 1968 Dodge Super Charger Concept, featuring a monstrous 7.0-liter (426 cubic-inch) HELLEPHANT HEMI V8, and the Mopar Lowliner Concept—a sleek, lowered 1968 Dodge D200 Camper Special turned into a Cummins-powered lowrider.
With a strong track record of building some of the most eye-catching restomods on the SEMA stage, Mopar’s latest reveal is sure to impress once it hits the show floor in November.
