Mopar Shines At The 2024 SEMA Show

Electric, Turbos, and HEMI V8s: Something for Everyone...

Mopar has again taken center stage at the 2024 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. Focusing on combining heritage, electrification, and rugged power, the Mopar display presents an impressive classic and forward-looking lineup. Anchoring Mopar’s 15,345-square-foot South Hall showcase (Booth #44137), this year’s concepts illustrate Mopar’s dedication to quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts while pushing boundaries with electrified propulsion and rugged builds for the Ram lineup.

The 1967 Plymouth GTX Electromod Concept epitomizes Mopar’s foray into electrifying classic American muscle. This zero-emissions reimagining of the original Plymouth GTX features Mopar’s conceptual e-Crate propulsion package, showcasing a modular EV system aimed at turning vintage rides into fully electric machines. Draped in Frostbite Blue, the GTX Electromod combines old-school muscle with futuristic tech, sporting widened rear-wheel openings, body-color bumpers, and Satin Black trim accents that highlight the sculpted exterior.

Under the custom carbon-fiber hood, a scalable 400-volt, 250-kW electric drive module generates 335 horsepower, delivering power through a 3:1 gear reducer. With a 73-kWh battery pack split between four modules and an estimated range of 250 miles, the Electromod has both the look and the power for the road. This concept hints at the future of “e-muscle” conversion kits, with Mopar eyeing potential compatibility across classic E- and B-body vehicles.

Inside, the GTX balances nostalgia with modernity. Custom gauges display speed, battery level, and coolant temperatures, housed within a custom bezel that retains the 1960s vibe. IndiGo Blue leather seats and accents combine with Gunmetal suede bolsters, while custom steering and gear components modernize the interior. It’s a stunning blend of Mopar heritage and the possibilities of tomorrow’s muscle.

Positioned as the ultimate off-road truck that doubles as a dependable daily workhorse, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon Concept embodies Mopar’s rugged side. Finished in Satin Stealth Sand with Header Orange accents, this HEMI®-powered concept features a custom 3D topographical map graphic along the bed box and comes outfitted with an array of Mopar accessories for off-road and worksite versatility.

The Power Wagon sits on black and Anthracite Grey 20-inch x 10-inch wheels paired with 35-inch Goodyear tires, offering maximum traction on any terrain. A 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI® BGE V8 engine under Mopar’s sport performance hood provides power, while a factory Warn winch, integrated trailer-tow mirrors, and custom storage systems enhance both its form and function. The roof holds an aluminum platform with a set of LED lights, while the bed boasts GearPODS and a Bed Slide system for easy access to gear.

The truck’s interior keeps up with its rugged exterior with custom brown-and-black Katzkin leather seats, highlighted by Raven and Mango suede with Header Orange stitching. The innovative instrument panel accessory rail secures devices during off-road excursions, while all-weather mats and storage systems keep essentials organized.

Moparized Ram 1500 RHO –

Rounding out Mopar’s sport truck display, the Moparized Ram 1500 RHO showcases bold aesthetics with new high-impact graphics and Mopar Blue side striping over a sleek Diamond Black body. Featuring the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE High-Output (H/O) I-6 engine that delivers 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque, this Ram packs a punch and boasts a 150-pound weight reduction compared to previous models.

The RHO’s stance is imposing, with massive 37-inch tires under the widest fender flares in the Ram 1500 lineup. A bed-mounted spare tire carrier, RamBar, stamped side steps, and a Mopar spray-in bedliner ensure durability and a rugged appeal. Inside, the RHO is decked out with custom black Nappa leather seats by Alea and Mopar Blue accents. A secure rail on the instrument panel keeps mobile devices steady for easy navigation or trail recording.

I'm hopeful that the next four years will be good for our country and for the Auto Industry. With Carlos leaving early and the whole EV push now being put on hold. Maybe this will be exactly what we need to get ourselves back on our feet. Here's hoping.

Must say that Charger in Viper guise is impressive. Is there anyone out there not thinking it needs a Hemi? The speculation presented on this site that Trump could change CAFE standards holds out hope. I am sure as President he will scrutinize every standard that damages the auto industry and change the direction of this EV disaster. I just can’t imagine that Dodge would not act quickly to right their ship if these changes happen.

Well they sure look good in that shade of blue with the stripes. Not sure what Ram Rev will do once the initial 1500 or so are sold though.
I wonder who will be the first to put a proper Hemi in one of these Chargers, probably be easier once the turbo six is out for this though. I noticed that they are still using that dumb work (frunk) to describe the from storage area, Whats that thing on the front of a Elephants face i think it’s a trunk not a frunk.
