Meet The 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition:
Just In Time For Veterans Day...
Just in time to observe Veterans Day here in the United States, the RAM brand is unveiling its new 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition pickup. The new special edition Ram 2500 Power Wagon pays special acknowledgment of Power Wagon’s heritage, which stretches back to World War II. The 2021 Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition is loaded with unique features and celebrates the rich history of the most iconic model heavy-duty pickup ever.
You might remember, our sister site HDRams.com, broke the news about this package after it was caught testing on the public roads in Metro Detroit. This isn’t your average heritage influenced special edition model. Instead, we are learning this package adds a lot more to the standard Power Wagon for the 2021 model year.
The 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition, starts off with a unique “Power Wagon 75 Years of Service” door badge, a new unique “Jail Bar” grille insert pays tribute to the original Power Wagon in a modern way, rock rails with side-step capability, premium darkened LED headlamps from the Limited Night Edition, and new 17-inch painted cast-aluminum Beadlock-capable wheels with 33-inch tires help amp up the wow factor and tell you this isn’t your typical Power Wagon. New Diamond Black graphics also adorn the doors and tailgate.
With the changes to the exterior, you would think that the inside would keep most of the Power Wagon’s original minimalistic characteristics that have shown its rugged nature in recent years. Instead, the 75th Anniversary Edition takes the Power Wagon upscale. Gone is the front bench seat and shift-on-the-fly floor-mounted transfer case shifter. They have been replaced with a pair of premium Mountain Brown leather bucket seats from the Limited Longhorn and outfitted with commemorative “Power Wagon 75” logos, center-console, and for the first time ever on a Power Wagon, an electronic transfer case.
The RAM design team also added Gloss Black instrument panel inserts, unique center console and dashboard badges, and a dark brushed aluminum surround with Piano Black Silverline accents to highlight the standard 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with Navigation. Of course, like the standard Power Wagon models for 2021, the 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen features the new Off-Road Pages. Off-Road Pages give the driver detailed information on the trail, like ride height, transfer case position, pitch, roll, and accessory gauges. But we can’t forget that the 75th Anniversary Edition will also get the 750-watt, 17-speaker Harman Kardon sound system as standard equipment as well.
As the most capable off-road pickup on the market, the 75th Anniversary Edition will still feature the standard Power Wagon’s trademark equipment, like its off-road suspension, factory lift, locking front and rear differentials, electronic disconnecting front sway bar, and its 12,000-lb. WARN Zeon-12 winch with a synthetic line as standard equipment. Power Wagon also features a 360-degree camera, which includes forward-view camera gridlines to help navigate obstacles.
The 75th Anniversary Edition will be available in Diamond Black Crystal as a monotone color, while Maximum Steel Metallic, Granite Crystal Metallic, Billet Silver Metallic, Hydro Blue, Patriot Blue, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Bright White, Olive Green, as well as 75th Anniversary Edition exclusive colors Molten Orange and Anvil will be available as two-tone exterior treatments.
The 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition has a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $65,250 (excluding $1,695 for the destination, taxes, and other fees). Canadian’s will have a MSRP of $73,290, plus $1,895 destination.
The 75th Anniversary Edition will be arriving in dealer showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2020. For more information on ordering or availability, you can contact your local Ram Truck dealer.
