Exclusive Reveal at The Quail Event Highlights Maserati’s Latest Performance Innovation...
Maserati is set to reveal its latest super sports car at the prestigious “The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering” event, part of Monterey Car Week, on Friday, August 16. The unveiling will take place at 9:12 am PST, and the car is expected to draw significant attention from automotive enthusiasts and collectors.
The new Maserati super sports car, developed entirely in Italy, builds on the legacy of the Maserati GT2, known for its racing prowess. This model represents a natural evolution of the MC20, Maserati’s flagship car that first introduced the V6 Nettuno engine. The MC20 has been praised for its impressive performance, and this new addition promises to enhance that reputation further.
The car will showcase Maserati’s commitment to blending advanced technology with outstanding aerodynamic performance. Designed for those who demand top-tier performance on the road, it features elements inspired by Maserati’s racing heritage. The vehicle will be available in a variety of customization options, balancing the high-tech details of a racing car with the comfort and sophistication expected from a road car.
The unveiling event at The Quail is one of the highlights of Monterey Car Week, which runs from August 14 to 19 in California. This renowned event is known for bringing together automotive enthusiasts from around the globe and features a stunning array of classic and modern cars, exclusive previews, and high-profile auctions.
In addition to the new super sports car, Maserati will also showcase the MC20 Icona and the MCXtrema at the event. The MC20 Icona, a limited edition inspired by the 2004 MC12 Stradale, made its debut in June 2024 and will be seen by the North American audience for the first time. The MCXtrema, introduced at The Quail in 2023, is Maserati’s most formidable track-only racing car, with only 62 units produced.
The presentation of the new super sports car will be led by Giovanni Perosino, Maserati’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, and Klaus Busse, Head of Design. Their introduction will highlight the car’s unique features and its role in Maserati’s ongoing commitment to performance and innovation.
