AUCTION: Beautiful 1969 Dodge Charger HEMI Daytona In HEMI Orange Heads To Mecum

Restored To Concours-Level Of Perfection...

Yes, another winged car is ready to cross the block at the Mecum Kissimmee event later this month. This 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona HEMI is equipped with its original drivetrain and correct primary and secondary VIN stamps. It also has been restored to a Concours-level of perfection by famed restorer Roger Gibson, using date-correct, new old stock (NOS), and assembly line parts.

An included Dave Wise report further indicates that this car’s restoration was to an original equipment (OE) level. More than 10 years were invested into the restoration process.

This particular car is just one of the 70 units produced with the iconic 7.0-liter (426 cubic-inch) HEMI V8 for the Charger Daytona program. Unlike the other Daytona HEMI car, crossing the auction block, this one is equipped with a numbers-matching A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car was also equipped with the A36 Performance Axle Package with its 3.55 Sure-Grip differential, power steering, heavy-duty cooling, performance suspension, and front-mounted power disc brakes.

Painted in the handsome HEMI Orange (EV2) exterior paint, the car features a Black rear wing and Daytona stripe. The car also includes enhanced exterior features like hood pins, chrome exhaust, and color-matched steel wheels with Fratzog hubcaps wrapped in Goodyear F70-15 Polygass GT rubber.

Inside, this Daytona HEMI car features a pair of bucket seats with headrest, a center console with floor-shifter, wood-grain trim, A01 Light Group, stylish Tic-Toc-Tach, 150 MPH speedometer, and a three-spoke steering wheel.
