AUCTION: Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye “Black Ghost” Tribute

Some Cloned One Of The New "Last Call" Sticker Packages...

There has been much excitement about the new 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost special edition as part of Dodge’s “Last Call” program. The car pays homage to the iconic ‘Black Ghost’ 1970 Dodge Challenger HEMI R/T SE owned by Godfrey Qualls, which ruled Woodward Avenue during the 1970s.

Thanks to dealer markups, the 300 units of this cool retro-styled Challenger is seeing prices well over the $150k mark. But that isn’t stopping the creative.

If you were looking through the docket of this weekend’s Barrett-Jackson West Palm Beach auction, you might have stumbled upon this 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye Widebody tribute to the new Black Ghost. And the car doesn’t a pretty good job copying the 2023 model with a few exceptions.

According to the listing, the current owner added a Gator Rooftop vinyl, old-style Challenger script to the fenders, Mopar hood-pins, a chrome gas cap, white bumblebee stripe, and the chrome D-O-D-G-E lettering on the front of the vehicle.

It is even is ridding on 20-Inch x 11-Inch Satin Carbon ‘Warp Speed’ wheels.

The interior features suede-trimmed door panels with map pockets and a premium-stitched dash panel, a Performance Gauge Package and the Dodge SRT Performance Pages with factory Line-Lock included in the center-mounted flatscreen entertainment and info center. Options include a factory-installed sunroof, Alcantara Nappa leather seating, as well as the Driver Convenience and Plus Packages.

The car is listed to have 877 miles on the odometer.

Hopefully, someone who doesn’t care about the “Last Call” plaque under the hood can pick this car up for a deal. It is pretty close to the original, with exception of the Black brake calipers and Black Ghost I/P badge. It also shows us, just how easy it is to clone one of these new “Last Call” cars.
