Leapmotor C10 AWD Electrifies Europe At Auto Zürich 2025
Leapmotor Expands Its C10 Lineup With A 600-Horsepower Dual-Motor SUV
Leapmotor is turning heads in Switzerland with the debut of its all-new C10 Design 81.9kWh AWD, a high-performance electric SUV making its European premiere at the Auto Zürich Car Show 2025. The sleek all-wheel-drive (AWD) model showcases Leapmotor’s rapid evolution from a domestic Chinese startup into a global electric brand now backed by Stellantis through a strategic joint venture aimed at accelerating its global expansion.
Built around an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture, the C10 AWD combines style, speed, and cutting-edge tech in a family-sized package. It’s designed for drivers who want electric efficiency without sacrificing performance or luxury. With nearly 600 horsepower—598 horsepower to be exact—and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque, the C10 rockets from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds.

That performance comes courtesy of dual electric motors—one on each axle—providing full-time AWD and dynamic traction control for all road conditions. Whether cruising at highway speeds or winding through Alpine passes, the C10 delivers precise handling and confidence-inspiring grip. Leapmotor’s engineers have tuned the SUV to feel stable and responsive, offering an engaging drive that rivals much pricier European models.
The 81.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supports ultra-fast DC charging, capable of going from 30% to 80% in only 22 minutes, thanks to a peak charge rate of 180 kW. Even in frigid temperatures, the battery maintains strong performance without preheating, showcasing Leapmotor’s expertise in cold-weather energy management—a key factor for European customers.

Inside, the C10 AWD balances tech and comfort. The centerpiece is a 14.6-inch 2K infotainment screen paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin is outfitted with a 12-speaker, 840-watt audio system, a panoramic glass roof, and up to 1,410 liters (49.8 cubic feet) of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded. Every inch feels premium, with clean design, quality materials, and user-friendly ergonomics.
The SUV’s AI Smart Electric Drive system can receive over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring features stay fresh throughout the vehicle’s life cycle. Leapmotor also emphasizes sustainability, using eco-friendly materials where possible and optimizing aerodynamics for better efficiency.
The addition of the new AWD variant expands the C10 range, which already includes a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) C10 electric vehicle (EV) and a rear-wheel-drive range-extending electric vehicle (REEV) version. The REEV model pairs an electric drivetrain with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that serves solely as an onboard generator, offering extended driving range and reduced charging dependency—an appealing option for customers transitioning to full electrification.

The C10’s European debut at the Auto Zürich Car Show 2025 takes place at the end of the month, from October 30th to November 2nd, at Messe Zürich. The event attracts over 70 automotive brands and more than 80 new product reveals. It’s one of Europe’s most important showcases for electrification, making it the ideal stage for Leapmotor’s Stellantis-backed push into Western markets.
With its combination of performance, technology, and value, the Leapmotor C10 AWD aims squarely at popular midsize electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y Performance, Kia EV6 GT, and BMW iX3. As the EV landscape continues to evolve, Leapmotor’s entry signals that competition from China—now supported by Stellantis—is not only real, it’s already here.
