Leapmotor, the Chinese electric vehicle maker now backed by Stellantis, rolled into IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich with two big debuts: the world premiere of the B05 sport hatchback and the European launch of the B10 compact SUV. The event, held at Messe München and downtown Munich, marked a major step in Leapmotor’s global push to bring affordable, stylish, and smart EVs to Europe and beyond.
Leapmotor B05: Sporty Electric Hatchback –

The B05 was the real showstopper. Designed for young, trend-setting drivers, it blends bold styling with the latest in EV tech. Its sleek, muscular design—what Leapmotor calls “Tech-Nature Aesthetic”—gives it a futuristic yet urban-friendly look. Details like frameless doors, 19-inch “Swift-Wing” alloy wheels, and the widest stance in its segment (1,880 mm / 74.0 in) show this isn’t just another hatchback.
Dimensionally, the B05 stretches 4,430 mm (174.4 in) long, 1,880 mm (74.0 in) wide, and 1,520 mm (59.8 in) tall, riding on a 2,735 mm (107.7 in) wheelbase. Those numbers translate to a planted, stable feel on the road with plenty of cabin space for passengers.

Leapmotor’s Global CEO Zhu Jiangming put it bluntly: “The B05 is more than a car—it’s a statement. It reflects our commitment to innovation, accessibility, and empowering the next generation of drivers across Europe and beyond.”
With the B05, Leapmotor is clearly targeting the European compact EV market, offering a balance of design, performance, and affordability.
Leapmotor B10: Affordable Electric SUV for Europe –

While the B05 grabbed attention, the B10 marks the brand’s real push into European dealerships. This smart compact SUV is built on Leapmotor’s latest LEAP3.5 architecture and has been available for pre-order since late July. Production is already ramped up, with deliveries kicking off in September across more than 30 countries—including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America.
Pricing starts at €29,900 (about $32,000 USD), making the B10 one of the most affordable electric SUVs in its class. Two trims will be offered:
-
LIFE trim: Standard panoramic glass roof (1.8 m² / 19.4 sq. ft.), 18-inch alloy wheels, 360° camera, and a full suite of driver-assist features.
-
DESIGN trim: Adds ECO leather seating, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated power seats, and other comfort upgrades.
Interior and Technology –

Inside, the B10 is all about space and tech. With 2,390 mm (94.1 in) from rear seat backrest to footwell, plus nearly 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of rear passenger width, it’s one of the roomiest in the segment. A massive 14.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen runs on the Snapdragon 8155 chip, delivering fast response and a crisp interface. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (via OTA update), and the new LEAP OS 4.0 Plus allows customization, immersive 3D graphics, and remote functions through the Leapmotor app.
Performance and Range –

The B10 comes with a single 218-horsepower motor making 240 Nm (177 lb.-ft.) of torque. It hits 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 8 seconds with a top speed of 170 km/h (106 mph). Two battery options are available:
-
56.2 kWh pack: Up to 361 km (224 miles) WLTP range.
-
67.1 kWh pack: Up to 434 km (270 miles) WLTP range.
Both support 11 kW AC charging and up to 168 kW DC fast charging—good for a 30–80% top-up in under 20 minutes.

A balanced 50:50 weight distribution, multi-link rear suspension, and Stellantis chassis tuning give the B10 sharp handling for its size. Safety is a focus too, with a high-strength steel safety cage, a 360° camera system, and 17 advanced driver-assist features, aiming for a five-star Euro NCAP crash rating.
With the debut of the B05 and the European launch of the B10, Leapmotor is making it clear that it’s not just another EV startup—it’s a serious global player with Stellantis backing and the infrastructure to deliver. By blending bold design, smart technology, and accessible pricing, the brand is positioning itself to shake up the compact EV and SUV markets across Europe and beyond.
